A: MoveItMelbourne can move most items that can fit in a standard car, van, ute or truck. Items such as furniture, mattresses, and big screen TVs are some of the most common items we move. We also have larger trucks to move larger items. We can send one or two helpers depending on how much assistance you need.
A: MoveItMelbourne cannot move people, pets, drugs, guns, weapons, hazardous materials, fine art or anything else that is illegal. A: No, you should not get in the vehicle with your MoveItMelbourne driver.
A: Yes, your MoveItMelbourne driver will help you load and unload your items. We can send two helpers if you need extra muscle.
A: MoveItMelbourne’s pricing model is based on a fixed hourly rate. The rate is determined by the type of vehicle you select and the amount of helpers you need. The clock starts when the driver arrives at the pickup location and begins loading your item(s) into their vehicle. The clock stops when your item(s) have been safely delivered to the drop off location and the driver has finished unloading.
A: If a professional driver has accepted your request you can call them through the app and ask them if they can reschedule. If they are unable to reschedule you can cancel the project and schedule a new one. Cancellation fees may apply. You can also contact our customer support team for additional help and we may be able to find another professional driver to help at no extra charge.
A: When you request a professional driver we place a temporary authorisation on your card for the estimated minimum amount. After the delivery is complete we will void the authorisation and create a new charge for the total amount due. The voided authorisation will be reflected on your credit card statement within a few days under the name MoveItMelbourne. Contact us if you have any concerns about payments.
A: Cancellations of bookings made more than 90 seconds after booking may be subject to a cancellation charge, not to exceed $10 per professional driver. ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
A: Yes, you can tip your MoveItMelbourne driver in the app after your booking is complete. You can also tip your driver in cash.
A: Our drivers take extra care to protect your items and deliver them in the same condition that they were received. If an accident does happen, you can feel safe knowing that your property is protected by MoveItMelbourne’s $20,000 goods-in-transit insurance policy. You can learn more about it here. We can not transport items valued at more than $20,000.
A: MoveItMelbourne is a completely cashless business. When you register to use MoveItMelbourne we will ask you for your credit card information. After the job is complete we will charge your credit card based on the total amount of time it took to complete the job. We will put a hold on your credit card for the amount equal to the estimated minimum cost of the booking. To ensure the highest level of security we use SSL site encryption and your payment info is stored and protected by Stripe, used by hundreds of thousands of the World’s most innovative companies.
A: MoveItMelbourne drivers have standard cars, vans, utes and trucks. All of the vehicles are owned by our fleet of professional drivers, not by MoveItMelbourne. All vehicles were made in the year 2003 or later and are required to pass an inspection before they can begin driving on the MoveItMelbourne platform.
A: MoveItMelbourne drivers are people that live in your community who want to earn extra money by using their vehicle to help you with your moving, transport and delivery needs. All of the drivers are at least 18 years old, with a valid drivers licence, registration and insurance. All drivers must pass a national ID, police and driving history check with no criminal or driving offences in the past 7 years.
